| no partners | | I tweaked my knee about 3 weeks ago and have since been stuck at home, living through the triplogs of others. Well, no more. Today I decided on a very tough, but short trail. I had expected to be turning back early, but made the whole round trip without a squeak or creek out of the knee. The best part is that I found the legendary register on Little Kimball. It's a really easy find, it just seems that no one goes there. The register is but a half sheet of paper with part of a map on the back side, stuffed in an olive jar. It's filled out by 15 hikers on 7 visits. I wouldn't have had any room to sign had I even thought to bring a pen to the peak (left my pack at the saddle).
Anywho, it was nice to be back out, abusing my knees as nature intended. Oh, not a drop of water to be seen anywhere. |

| | Glassed the area all around the spring. Top soil looked dampish, but no sign of surface water. | | _____________________
