At the 1.5 mile mark I rolled my anke ](https://hikearizona.com/dex2/images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif "Brick wall")
it wasn't too bad so I kept going. If I stop after rolling an ankle, it will swell up and it stops working. Then I came across a hornets nest that had been unearthed by a bear very recently, so I was a little on edge. Then 100 yard down the trail I found more of the nest so the bear was still in the area 
I never saw him but I was spooked. The fact that the trail was a tunnel of vegetation that you couldn't see through didn't help my anxiety level. Then top it off, a mile after I rolled my ankle I did it again 
COME ON!!! 
I had no choice, I had to turn back. On the way back I must have rolled the same ankle 10-12 more times. Everytime I rolled it, the profanity flowed out of me!! Louder and louder!! 
( for anyone in the area I apologize) but I pushed through the pain and got back to my truck.
next time with boots on
