I thought this was going to be a hike up an "old" road, but the road was freshly graded. Just like strolling down a sidewalk.

At 3.8 miles you come to the pass, and another gate. We went off roading and went to the top of Darton Dome.

We went up to the lookout and obeyed the signs asking us not to climb up. We had a nice lunch with a view of the Inner Basin and Humphreys.

Then we headed up to the "real" O'Leary Peak and signed the register. We then went a little further to another summit just to take in the views.
