Originally I had planned to hike all of Reynolds Creek and then try a mile or two of either Trail 141 or the Center Mt. Trail 142. Instead, once we got to the end of the Reynolds Creek Trail 150, it seemed like the natural thing to do to go to Aztec Peak and have lunch, so we did. The views were incredible as usual and lounging in the Flintstone furniture for lunch was very relaxing.

The Reynolds Creek Trail is for the most part very shady. Temps were very nice, mostly in the 60s. There was some mild color in the leaves, but mostly faded reds and yellows, nothing spectacular. But for coming off the hot desert summer, it was a nice change of pace. Lots of bear sign, including a very scratched up tree, but thankfully no Yogis. Good times hiking with Wally and Alex again.
