| no partners | | I was hoping to see some tarantulas in Garden Valley, but no such luck. Too early?
Lots of blooming flowers out there right now - white ones, purple ones and yellow ones. How's that for a description? I don't know what the names are (where's Angela when you need her?). I didn't take pictures of them because I was totally focused on dodging all the requisite bees. And, Yellow Jackets were everywhere! I hate those things. They can smell the food in your pack, so they follow and harass you and they'll sting you just for fun (because they can). Fortunately, there was a pretty stiff breeze, which really put the hurt on their stalking routine.
I wasn't expecting to see any significant water in the creek, but there is quite a bit and, for the most part, it was still moving.
The current invasion of snowbirds hasn't hit the trails, yet. A few cars in the lot, but I didn't see anyone while I was out. Nice. |
