This is a terrific dayhike with commanding views of the surrounding desert for miles in every direction. If you've hiked Picacho Peak before, this is the less used trail that comes up the backside.

The first two miles are relatively easy as we cross some very pretty desert. The remaining portion of the trail climbs steeply and requires using cables (gloves recommended). In portions, there is exposure to sheer cliff faces. You can climb to the saddle or climb to the summit - whatever suits your abilities.
