This was the first free weekend we had a in a while so we were hoping we weren't too late to see the colors. We weren't. However, I was a little slow getting around in the morning and it was later than I expected when we finally got up there. We arrived at 10:30 to find the parking lot full, and a line of cars out on the road trying to get in. We found parking north of the parking lot, about 3/4 of a mile away. The trail was just as packed, I had never seen it like this before.
There was some trees that had already lost their leaves, but still a good amount of yellow/red/orange trees. the ground was covered with leaves too, made for a nice fall hike, just what we were looking for. Weather was perfect too, actually in the shaded areas a little chilly.

Autumn Foliage Observation Substantial
There was some trees that had already lost theirs, but still a good amount of yellow/red/orange trees. Plenty on the ground, it was great.
