Got off work early on this gorgeous day, so decided to finally check out Red Butte!
The roads are in great shape - no problem for my little car.
I however am woefully out of shape.
The trail is easy and fun.
A few small patches of snow scattered around.
The top is a super cool spot! I want to string up my hammock and spend a night up there very soon ... the sunset and sunrise views must be stellar, and I could happily spend most of a day just poking around up there examining the nooks and crannies and sifting through the dirt for cool rocks and artifacts.
The top is littered with survey markers - I found five in less than an hour.
Very happy to have finally hiked the butte - will return soon.
