| no partners | | This was my first trip to any part of Point Mugu State Park since before the Springs Fire. I just didn't want to see it after the burn. I was encouraged by all the new growth, despite the lack of rain. Many of the scorched sumac was growing back at the base and many of the yucca were coming back.
The rebirth ends with the sumac and yucca. We need rain before anything else starts growing.
As always, the Old Cabin Trail affords great views. Despite an incoming dry cold front, today was no exception. Every time I hike this trail it seems that the tail is worse than the last.
My left knee was bothering me for part of the way, but it felt better after about a quarter of the hike. |
