This was a fun hike to do after the storm Saturday. Water was everywhere. In a few sections water was literally flowing down the footpath like a mini creek. I passed a half dozen medium sized waterfalls and for hours the sound of rushing water was inescapable. The desert was happy. I did this loop clockwise and met quite a few other hikers out enjoying the day. Despite ominous looking clouds at times, I was only doused once by a passing rain shower near the Terrapin/Bluff Springs junction. Barkley Basin is always an incredible view with late afternoon light and begs for off trail exploration. No wildlife to speak of, except Blanco and Cup.
