| no partners | | I got up and got ready to go hiking before I even knew it was raining.Oh well rain or sweat,I'll be wet either way.I got to Peralta around 6am and the rain had stopped.2 suv's and another car showed up at the same time but the went up Peralta Trail. It was very humid and overcast. The views of the Basin are great. There were lots of baby toads of some kind in the lower areas.A little water here and there but nothing major.Always cool to see the needle from both sides. After you pass Whiskey Springs junction you may want pants on.The catsclaw is starting to flare up.Between there and the Bluff Spring junction I saw some nice deer tracks and what looked to be Bear tracks. .Of course after that I kept scareing myself thinking I heard something. From there it was smooth sailing with lots more toads and a ring-necked snake.Throw in a few birds,90% overcast and the trail all to myself.Great morning hike in the Supes! |
