| no partners | | I'll definitely go paddling in this reservoir again, since it is long enough for multiday trips and has a number of boat-in campsites along it. Next time I'll bring my kayak overnight gear.
This day was extremely windy. It was a good test of paddle skills. The gusty wind would change direction. But on the way back I was able to "sail!"
I paddled up one direction to the dam. Then I paddled down past the ramp to look at a couple of the boat-in campsites. One of them was very nice, although you would have to hump your gear up a steep slope to get to it. The campsite was shady and grassy. It was also occupied. The other campsite had such a muddy landing I would not consider it unless maybe the lake level was much higher, maybe less muddy then. I sank to my knees and almost lost my sandals! |
