| no partners | | Well the Family and I decided we wanted to get some fresh mountain air so we headed up to Auger Canyon. The upper canyon was all burnt from the wallow fire but the lower canyon still had lots of pine trees and was mostly green. The game trail hugs the creek and at times the creek seemed to have an okay flow and at time seemed to almost disappear. The birds sang us a song as we walked the trail. I stopped to take pictures of some of the flower blossoms and plants.
We made out way down to the falls and my son was very excited he loves the water! The water flow of the falls was very minimal due to the lack of rainfall in the area, but I can imagine they can get crazy as I saw a bunch of washed up trees at the bottom of the falls. I took some photos of the falls and we sat down and had a snack then headed out to finish the trail.
Great place to go for a nice day hike and DO NOT let the burned area keep you away it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing this place Rick! |
