We canyon scrambled until we hit Little LO and than the real fun began. The canyon has some great narrows to play in. Note this canyon is supposed to have a keeper pothole. When we went it was not in keeper mode.
This is a fun canyon with a few life's own into potholes. I recommend if you do slide take your pack off to avoid burning holes in the bottom of it as you'll go really fast. I took mine off yet somewhere along the line I managed to burn several holes which made the water drain out easier!
Joel wore his new aqua jogger which we had a great time making jokes about. Especially since it looks like a WWE belt except that it's bright blue!
We barely used the ropes we brought. In one spot we had an underwater deadman's anchor to use and we swallowed our guts which were threatening to come up and rappelled down. Just kidding, we wouldn't have died had it failed since the water level was up. It wasn't too nerve wracking!
My favorite was the pool of red! Check out the photos and you'll see why! |
