Pusch It Pusch It real good.

That was gonna be the theme song for today but fate had other plans. It's hard to A Salt Pusch Wilderness without Pepa.

Pepa waited about a half hour and sent me two pms before he figured it was time to leave. Then he saw what I was going thru and figured he couldn't catch up but he probably would have. I sent one text to a bad number  I spent an hour parked by Baseline on I-10 before they turned us around and sent us down the HOV lane and then on to 60 E.(and another accident at Mill). I was pretty upset knowing there were most likely fatalities and serious injuries at the Baseline accident.

I called my wife and she said "just be glad you weren't in it". She's a smart lady and knows the right things to say. The accident had to have happened just before I got there because all the emergency vehicles came 5-10 minutes later.

I arrived at the meetup place over an hour late and decided to head south. :lone:

I got to the TH about 830 and headed up with a heavy heart and distracted mind. The area is really nice but I couldn't enjoy it. I stopped and  and improved my attitude and followed the nice trail. I took my time and reflected on things and stopped and cut my compression shorts because they were buggin me. Snack time was enjoyed and all of a sudden I heard drums. The school below must have been practicing.

I was a little disappointed as I approached the top because it was just a walk up. There were scrambling ops but I thought there'd be more. I had another snack on top and quickly descended down. I found a break but it didn't pan out. Next I climbed back up a ways and came to a notch with a sling. Bingo I was probably in a good spot. I looked down and it was no go. I looked right and there was an easy down climb but the little voice in my head said get home early for dinner. I've done probably 100's of harder down climbs but today I wasn't feelin it. I had lunch on the Flatiron and headed back home.

Probably go back next Friday and do Cleaver, Big and Table hopefully Pepa can even out the seasoning.
