| no partners | | This was my first time visiting the Usery Mountain Regional Park. The Wind Cave trail is well defined and provides an easy to moderate challenge. Once past the cave (with the cool-looking beehive), the trail is not as clear, but isn't too hard to keep track of. We spied a father and two sons (6 and 8 years old!) coming down from the summit so we deviated somewhat from the official route on the ascent. This ended up being a lot more direct, but also much more vertical.
There are great views all around on the summit which we had to ourselves for a good 30 minutes |
