| no partners | | Went to the Fish Hatchery first, since it closes at 3:30 - as I discovered last time when I arrived at 3:33. Cool place worth checking out if you're in the area - and it's free.
Then on to RERO - was quite impressed with the flood damage ... and glad I visited before the flood, so I could tell the difference.
All small bridges washed out - only Kingfisher still usable.
Did Bunkhouse, Kisva, Apache Fire, rest of Kisva, Smoke ...
Met the Assistant Park Manager out on the trail - seemed like a nice guy.
Drooled over the Ranger residences ... hope to someday get a Ranger II position there and be able to live on the property! Talk about million dollar views - and after the Park closes at 5:00, it's all yours.
Saw ducks, hummingbirds, woodpecker, a gopher or mole type thing, and some lizards ... seemed like perfect snake weather, but nothing yet.
Nice day out ... tomorrow DEHO and disc golf! |
