Went to check out Beasley Flats ... hiked downriver for about a mile and a half.
Saw a bald eagle, kingfisher, geese, fancy ducks, great blue heron, frogs, turtles ... and my first ever river otter!

The otter got out of the water and rolled around in the sand to dry off - or for whatever reason otters do that - until he was thoroughly coated in sand, then slid back into the water and was clean and slick again. I liiiiike otters!
