We started from the Pali Lookout, took the Old Pali Road down to its junction with Maunawili, and turned left onto a small trail that squeezed under the Pali overpass. About a quarter of a mile later, the trail creates another junction with a curved road; the small wooden stairs marking the beginning of the Likeke Trail are tucked away to the left. We reached another junction on a small ridge, where we continued straight, down into the next gulch. The waterfall had a small pool at its base; probably would have been nice for swimming if we'd thought to bring swim gear! We continued on for a bit, but were eventually deterred by bug bites and turned back around. |
