| no partners | | Its 6:35am at Mining Camp TH. Most are just getting started about this time...I'm already done. Feeling exhausted but energized after a quick hike/run to the Flatiron and back. It was 75:45 to the top today. The air was surprisingly still up there, minus a few small wind gusts after I climbed the wall. Somewhere around the 2/3's point, I came across fresh graffiti left by some moron with nothing better to do. Not to worry, the keepers of the Flatiron will make it go away. I put away the headlamp well before the bowl today. Daylight is coming up early now. I like the early starts, arriving in darkness and watching the silhouette of Old Glory fly over the Mining Camp Restaurant. Setting the alarm to wake me up before 4am can be quite intimidating. Normal people should be in a deep REM-state when the clock reads 3-something. |
