It didn't add much to the overall mileage. My GPS tracks indicated 1.8 miles round-trip. I didn't see any cattle as others reported. I followed BEEBEE's tracks more or less and I didn't notice any cairns on the way up so decided to place a few on the way down. I must have missed some existing ones on the way up because I saw two or three coming down. Now there are more, but still not enough to follow the whole way. The rock-hopping was enjoyable to me. I like navigating boulders much more than cactus and cat-claw. I was harassed by three or four bees while on top. There must be a hive near by. I mostly just ignored 'em until one crawled up my pant-leg. I didn't get stung but there's one less bee in the world. The view is enjoyable. I worked some radio for SOTA and looked for some of the markers on top. Really had fun. |
