Up a canyon, lots of water, cold, spots of sun, massive trees and grapevines, nooks and crannies. Old homestead, but then mysteriously no more sign, no fire rings, no trash, minimal use trails, no cow poop. Covered with leaves and boggy, a slow go of it. In with the canyon and back on the mudstone, got snowed and hailed on. The road in and out was a mess, and it was almost a brief white out over Texas Pass.
