Granby Co. Or bust. Lots of hiking/ snowshoe trails unfortunately the single digit temps all week didn't work well with an 8 month in tow. It was however great for Micah to learn to ride. Never been to Granby Ranch or WinterPark. Granby was very family oriented quite and s great place to learn. I also found after teaching Micah for two days on the beginner lift (under 5 free and me 20 bucks) that no one rides the lift that accesses the advance I would rate as intermediate terrain which by the way has some nice tree skiing full of powder if you can avoid the stumps which gave me a chance to test out the new ride. I spent the next three days riding powder at WinterPark primarily in Eagle Wind, Vasquez, and panoramic express and the Parsenn Bowl. The Cirque unfortunately was not open. Met up with Family and watched the torchlight parade on Christmas Eve which was excellent and on Christmas after getting more powder rhode the Galloping Goose with Micah on Mary Jane side. She did several runs w/out falling. Sat. Stopped by Keystone checked our the huge snow fort with slides and Micah busted out a couple runs w/ out falling on the Magic Carpet. I retired my ride of 18 years and it will start it's next 18 years as a bench.
