| no partners | | Family trip to the paint mines. Great area for kids and very different scenery than what most people think of Colorado. Winter boots yesterday by the house sandals and shorts and a nice 70 degrees today. Loved the geologic features worth a visit if your in the area. There is a lot of archeological history in the area dating back 9000 years. The clay and pigments were used for pottery, painting pottery, and ceremonial purposes. The channels and small canyons were used to drive buffalo into to make it easier to kill.
