I did the loop counter-clockwise because I wanted the views on the ridge facing west. Really enjoyable hike, and it felt like I was really far from the valley, yet I was so close. Good trails, good views, and quiet except for the Jets, but they are variable. Saw hardly anyone, not at all like the peaks and trails in the city. Tagged Maricopa, saw where the other member dug for the benchmark. I think, with an early start and enough water, this could be done in hotter weather.
