Turned around and decided to explore around Sycamore Creek area, found some nice party camp sites. Ended up at the bottom of old 87 and parked at the Cross F Ranch TH, saw the AZT sign and decided to pack up and go up the AZT for a ways. Found the signs for Little Saddle Mountain Trail and decided to make a loop, using this trail, AZT and back along the Creek. What beautiful area, a little uphill to the junction of the AZT, turned left on the AZT, and skirted left around the Ranch to the old 87 and down into the Creek and a real gradual incline back to the TH. This would be a Loop for someone that doesn't want something hard or miles or AEG, but just wants solitude and beauty of the area.
