| no partners | | Hike # 2 of the day. Dropped off Lee at the Biltmore I mean hostel. Met DallinW and we all chatted a bit. Then I headed out and drove up 1st Street in Alma to Kite Lake. I decided to do the loop and hit the 14ers in the area bringing the total to 5 for the day. The caveat is if there wasn't a summit selfie it didn't happen. Like Quandary the views were great here as well. Lots of people coming down as it was afternoon, but with zero precipitation forecasted and the weather looking good went for it. I had the summit to myself on virtually every Peak.
This must be Mountain Goat day because I saw pairs going up to Democrat, Cameron Summit, and Below the Summit of Lincoln.
Just an afterthought the ridge down below Bross is super slick and frankly treacherous. Although it was described to me as a clockwise loop starting with Democrat, I think it would be easier and probably less AEG to go up the ridge below Bross and loop it counterclockwise. I met one guy doing the loop clockwise everyone else was doing it the other way. Several people I met advised not going down the ridge.
