Did a bird hike with Walter and Marianne. I was really looking forward to this hike since Walter is our bird expert and I have not hiked with him before. I made a wish the night before to see a cool bird.

. We did

. I spotted a long eared owl :y:

my first and I think first in the preserve too :y:

. Managed to photograph green tailed towhee again

. Saw a sage thrasher too. It started to rain as we neared the gym. We took a short break there comparing great horned owl to long eared. Rain didn't stop so we walked back to TH instead of finishing the loop. Awesome experience. Learned a lot about birds from Walter. :y:
