Hiked up to the 5k ft. level of the Tanque Verde Ridge trail and mapped/pulled weeds on the way down as a volunteer for the national park.
Beautiful day and really encouraging to see we are winning against Buffelgrass on this trail segment (was able to remove all encountered) but also the previously worked larger patches are doing amazingly well, preventing the large infestations you might find in some other places around Tucson.

There are orientation sessions this friday and saturday at Saguaro National Park for new volunteers.

The trail does have a few sections still snowed over by Lehmann Lovegrass but not quite as thick or as long in duration as some trails in Pusch Ridge.
