| no partners | | Last catch up hike of the year since I have OCD and need to personally log all my hikes for documentation.
I've explained to many friends and family about what HAZ is and I don't think any of them completely understand me when I say it's a website where people talk about hiking and share trip beta and and photos from their journies.
So I basically just tell them that I use HAZ as my "Man-Journal"
I never kept a journal growing up unless I was assigned one in school so I really do kind of find this sense of enlightenment and enjoyement while writing these triplogs regardless if anyone reads them.
I'll keep it short and sweet since it's a flash back to the past instead of current info.
The falls were flowing quite nicely for no precipitation that week, my dog and I went up past the falls and hiked another 1/2 mile and hung out up in that area and took a little afternoon nap creekside.
I remember the strange contrast of cool flowing creek water and a healthy ripirain habitat among masses of Saguaros on the surrounding hillsides, it certainly made for nice visual scenery.
I'm looking forward to coming back next year with my camera and with more fuel in the creek because there definitely is some scenic little areas in this heavily visited place. |
