On an early autumn day we went to see among the first of the leaf-changing aspens at the corner. Plenty others from the Valley joined us, and the trail/photo spots were busy, although it emptied out with the exception of a few mountain bikers on the outer extents of the trail. The trail and a road converged on the loop we created and at one point we walked straight into someone's hunting camp. Friendly folks although we cautiously approached considering the only view at 11am included rifles, beer cans, and half empty crown royal flasks

Nice trail - although the aspens on the other side of the mountain at lockett meadow on the way to inner basin are much denser. Only a little rain got to us, although a storm was brewing higher on the mountain.
