| no partners | | We set camp before our hike which reduced our hiking window for the afternoon, so we couldn't complete the full primitive loop; however, we had a place to sleep so i'll take that tradeoff. So we took the Devil's Garden trail out to Double Arch, and then swung underneath the Partition Arch on the way back. A few parts of the trail once beyond the Landscape Arch felt primitive - there was slickrock climbing and a couple areas where you needed to slightly hoist yourself up. A fun hike that spices up after the first mile. Beyond the Double Arch is a recessed hollow that made for a nice snack spot and views to the north through the arches. Highly recommend you at least get beyond the Landscape Arch if you can (as many don't considering this is the largest arch). |
