We made it up to the inner basin with the Kiddo in the backpack. Beautiful day for a hike now that it has cooled off, and as expected there were boatloads of people out. It always surprises me that people hike with their mp3 players, but to each their own. Maybe the mountain is like a giant stairmaster to them!

Since we started off in the afternoon, once we started ascending, we were entirely in shade. It was windy today, and the basin area was especially windy which coupled with the shade made it downright cold! ;)

We passed a party of two who mentioned that they did the ridgeline from Peralta starting that morning. Fun!!!! That is on our list, though not with the Kiddo in tow.
