| partners | | Mark and I returned to one of his recent adventures along the Salt River. I enjoyed his triplog and photo set from that journey so much that we chatted about a return trip and Mark was gracious enough to oblige.
Although short in distance, this route packs a punch. A lot of ups and downs, some bushwhacking, a little scrambling here and there and tremendous views of the Salt River that you won't see unless you have a boat or a capable off road vehicle. Although Mark prepared a route to follow, it was just a guideline. We adjusted as needed when we saw things we wanted to check out a little more, such as dropping down to Cottonwood Creek for some beach time or heading over to see the AZNG Mascot.
All in all, it was a great hike on a gorgeous day. As always Mark, thanks for a great adventure in such an amazing area. I really enjoyed it. As expected, the ride to and from the starting point was exhilarating! |
