Family was in town this week to celebrate my Mom's 82nd birthday. My oldest friend, who has known her for more than 40 years, came too. On this fine morning, he and I went hiking.
He wanted to hike Flatiron (doesn't everyone?) but I talked him into Fremont Saddle instead. Fremont Saddle was my first hike in the Superstitions and it remains a favorite. Now it's one of his.
We finished the hike around lunchtime. The parking lot was in overflow mode on a Tuesday. I think they were all coming up as we headed down.
Wonderful hike on a beautiful day.
