Second hike of the day beginning at the cool llittle Diversion Dam downstream of the SRC wilderness boundary.

Nice combination of calm tranquil water followed by roaring rapids in certain turns and straightaways.
Easy river walking with minimal bushwhacking but the envasive salt cedar tamarisk was certainly a nuisance in some spots.

There was a giant dense grove of trees peaking in foliage on the opposite side of the river I really wanted to check out but with a setting sun that will have to wait for another day.

Headlamps were used on the way back but the near full moon helped illuminate the night sky.
