| no partners | | After my backcountry trek in the Bradshaws I wasn't exactly satisfied because I didn't get to my goal destination so I hustled and bustled to make it to this spot before sundown.
I felt like a middle age mom power walking with hips in full force down a suburban street as I was very short on daylight so I was moving at a swift pace!
After a few miles I almost turned around because the wash I was walking through was for the most part dry with a few sporadic puddles.
This was not a good sign since it was in direct path downstream of the falls and I almost debated turning around at one point but since I already walked two miles I figured id continue out of curiosity and willpower.
My luck paid off because out of nowhere I heard the magical sound of running water! I had to stop and listen just because I couldn't believe it since it came out of nowhere, my pace turned into a brisk jog and soon around the bend I was greeted with a slender steady flowing 75 foot waterfall!
I only had 15 mintutes of dusk light to setup and snap a
few photos before it became completele darkness on me and it was time to strap on the headlamp and head back home.
I never listen to music on the trails and especially not out loud but for this rare occasion I packed a small radio boom box with and I jammed out to funky old school 80's hip hop all the way home. |
