We were among the masses that chose to hit up Tom's Thumb as part of our MLK day plans. We escaped the crowds briefly for the scramble up to East End Peak. A great spot with nice views. Explored a bit on top and managed to crack my cell phone screen in my pocket, while scrambling around some granite boulders on an offshoot of the Peak. ](*,)

After taking in the views, we descended the peak and joined the conga line again back over to the Thumb. Saw several climbers out in the area, including a group of three tackling the Thumb itself.

We enjoyed exploring the "grotto" area to the SE of the Thumb but couldn't seem to locate the "Troll's Cave," despite visiting it on our trip a couple of years back. Oh well.

On the drive out, we always enjoy making a bit of a roller coaster out of the plentiful dips in the road. When my wife pointed me to the sign that said "15 mph," I told her it meant: "15 meters per hump, if you go fast enough." :lol:
