| no partners | | Things came up, so I couldn't get away for my planned hike for the third week in a row, this time not until 1:30 Saturday afternoon. So, I hiked Shaw Butte, so I would get a good work out and not feel guilty.
I wanted to make a video anyway, so as I figured I would experiment and take a photo as close to every 2/10ths of a mile as possible. It turned out okay. Short, anyway.
I made it 3.20 miles and 900 AEG to the summit, from home, in 1h 02m.
I wanted to check out any new graffiti on Cloud 9, but a teenage couple was headed that way. Figuring they might want some privacy, I skipped it. ;-)
I picked up a discarded box of cheesy fish-shaped crackers. That's a new one. Usually it is bags of dog poo. First time I saw one, years ago, not knowing what it was, I picked it up. It was runny. I have not repeated that mistake.
I was hiking along the west slope of North Mountain, when I saw a guy limping toward me. It was at a wash, so I moved to the side so he wouldn't have problems. Then I recognized the dog. It was Larry & Rowdy! I told Larry I'd been looking forward to meeting Rowdy for three years. :-)

*** Why is this set to one week hidden when I have several times unchecked that then saved?
I see the issue: I unchecked the box, then clicked update. That did not update. Then I unchecked the box and clicked save; that worked. Bizarre. |
