| no partners | | | Arizona Trail #16 at Cochran to Tonto National Forest. Hiked this trail in November because the river is at it's lowest then (Coolidge Dam shut off because farmers don't need the water at this time). For November it was still quite warm and this is the lowest point on the Arizona Trail. There was no water along the trail except at the river. For those through hiking it is probably not an issue because there is water at the river and in spring along Telegraph canyon above. The trail is well maintained although I thought it reminded me of a bike trail with unnecessary meandering at times. Views at sunrise and sunset are spectacular. |
