| no partners | | | Short round trip hike with my wife Debbie. This was what I call a mop up hike, a section of trail left over from other hikes along the Arizona Trail. We live just 5 minutes from here so it was easy to jump in the car and do an early morning hike. The trail isn't real interesting other than crossing under interstate 10 and South Sonoita Hwy (83). We did run into a Gila Monster just after crossing HWY 83. This trail is definitely a bike trail along with the one in Rincon Valley, it seams to wander needlessly in some places and the switchbacks are needlessly long (Rincon Valley portion near Colossal Cave). If you live out in this area, Davidson Canyon area makes for some nice short hiking trails to start off a day. |
