We spent the first day relaxing and ice fishing with no success. There was no loss though as the lake offers amazing views of the surrounding peaks. Games, drinks, and hot tubbing completed the day at Sheep Mountain Lodge.
The following day we hiked a butte called Lion Head that overlooks Matanuska Glacier. At 2 miles and a 1000ft AEG it is not a difficult hike but progress was slow as we had to break trail through 2-3ft of snow. As seen, the views are well worth it and concluded another amazing weekend living the Alaska Life.
