Where to begin!? Its been a busy summer! The excitement began back in April when I had the opportunity to go out on 2 awesome boats into PWS for 3 days. What an introduction! The sound is roughly 3 times the size of Tonto National forest and only discoverable by boat. 2 towns give road access to the sound, Whittier and Valdez. Hidden coves, large fjords, rugged peaks, and 150 glaciers make for an amazing playground with the right equipment. This trip would be the first of many expeditions into this captivating place.
