Starting from the parking lot at the end of Golden Eagle Blvd, four of us hiked out to the mine, then up the canyon to the Prospector Trail, left on Prospector, back down the road, returning on Dixie Mine Trail (and the sidewalks through the housing development). It made for an easy, but scenic, six mile hike.

We often see bees near the puddles of water at the (almost always dry) waterfall. We saw neither water nor bees at the waterfall today.

Wildflowers Observation Isolated
The cactus flowers (include saguaros) are coming out now. Most of the wildflowers have dried up or are in the process of drying up.
