My wife and daughter wanted to do a short hike without a lot of driving, so we started at the Dixie Mine trailhead. I had planned to do Dixie Mine and part of Sonoran, but they didn't want the elevation gain, so we just hiked out to the road and back.

Near the intersection with the Sonoran Trail, we saw three deer!

We saw several other hikers and trail runners while we were out - it's a popular trail.
