| no partners | | I decided to drive down to the old abandoned house with swimming pool that you pass in the Sierra Ancha foothills along SR 288. I was there once before, sometime around 2004 or 2005. There are some springs nearby, so there are a few Cottonwood trees in the vicinity. Just before you arrive at the house you cross Walnut Creek and there is a building hidden in the vegetation there, most likely the source of the water for the house. I don't know the history of the place, but it looks to be of more recent vintage, perhaps 1950's or 1960's. There are mining sites nearby on Warm Creek, so perhaps it has a mining connection. The swimming pool makes it kind of cool. |
