| no partners | | | This was my first over night hike. I would definitely recommend this as a first over night. My hiking partner and I only hiked to the bottom of castle dome on lime mountain and spent the night then returned to the trail head. This hike was mainly to get acclimated with my gear before longer trips. Only a few point of moderate inclination before exiting the granite unit into the red sand going south bound. No wildlife seen on the trial. however, during the night we heard some wildlife outside the tent that somewhat startled us. No easy to access water right off the trail (this may be due to the dry season during time of hike). |
