Impressive bumper crop!
Notes to self since I just lost the attention of 99%.
85 degrees driving in from Hewitt to the rise. Then a welcoming 75 at Roger's TH.
Rogers Canyon Trail #110
Naggy catclaw is pleasantly absent compared to memory.
109 to Reavis Saddle
Fair, could use a clip. Pinball wizards will dodge and twist without skipping a beat.
Saddle to Valley
Solo in one of my favorite stretches of forest I slow poked it. Explored a bit and dabbled in nuisance locust maintenance. Precursor Autumn breezes were as good as life gets.
Reavis Valley
Heading in the pear trees were loaded. Chutney scat was loaded with clues and the orchard a bountiful fruit symphony.
Road
I'm probably overly sensitive. Just had some welding this week on my lca that was replaced a year ago and something still isn't quite right. Naturally the road seemed worse than ever. Probably par but I wouldn't suggest it for the family sedan. The lower creek crossings where actually as good as ever. Just bumpy as hell overall. The dip of concern IMO in the final 3 miles to Roger's seems deeper cut than normal. That said, it's doable. |
