| partners | | We hiked the Rogers, Reavis, Frog Tanks, Rogers loop to complete some trail sections for Denny. We left early and drove to the Rogers Trough trailhead without traffic only to find 16 vehicles already there at 6:30am. The start was cool with the sun below the horizon and then some early clouds took over and we were near Plow Saddle Spring before the sun really joined the hike. There were many hikers and campers along the way but plenty on solitude in areas as well. We saw 6 white-tailed deer and one expired stinky gray fox next to the trail. There was lots of water flowing along the way which was enjoyable. We managed to take a few breaks and check out some ruins, troughs and a corral along the way and still make good time. Thanks for the hike Denny. |
