| partners | | I'd never done this one, and with the amount of precipitation in the Supes this winter, it seemed like it might be a good weekend to check it out. That plan turned out perfectly. There was water flowing in all the drainages, and snow holding on the north-facing slopes higher up.
I'm always a fan of meeting new people, and we had a great group of hikers who were fun people to be around (and also John was there ). The weather was perfect; just warm enough to be in the water in the shaded canyon, but cool enough to make the big climb out reasonably pleasant. (I hope I used that semicolon correctly )
We were ahead of the daytrip crowds, though there were a handful of backpackers who were camped at the various spots along the trail. Just as we started our return trip, we ran into another group with a few people we all knew, and as we continued downstream, passed at least a dozen more were on their way up. I'm glad we were able to enjoy the falls without all those other people!
We made fairly quick work of the climb out and were back at the trailhead by 3pm. It was a fun day with a great group of hikers!
